CSI Kuwait Meet 2007

Kuwait CSI Homeland Fellowship 2007, the third annual get-together of former and present members of the St. Peter's CSI Congregation, Kuwait was held on 11th August 2007 at 9:30 am to 2:30 pm at C.S.I Retreat Centre, Kottayam. 60 registered and other 15-20 non- registered participants attended the meeting.

The meeting started with registration and break fast at 9.30 am. Rt. Rev. Dr. Sam Mathew and Rt. Rev. Michael John were the chief guests. The first session was a worship service, printed 'Order of service' was distributed to all the participants, which was led by Rev. Jiji Joseph and Very Rev. Thomas Samuel .An Obituary Prayer was made to those who passed away during the last year. Rt. Rev. Dr. Sam Mathew made the sermon and urged the members to shine like stars in darkness.

A light refreshment and tea were served after the first session.

The second session was started with an opening hymn' Innayolam thunachone'.

Mr. P.V Abraham, Convener of the event welcomed the gathering. The meeting was presided by the Chairman of the meet, Very Rev. T.I George.
The Key -note address was given by Rt. Rev. Michael John. He made a retrospection of his priestly journey till date based on 17th chapter of Gospel of John.
Very Rev. K.T. Kurien , Mission Board Director appreciated and acknowledged St. Peter's Congregation's generous support to the 'Uttaranchel Mission', and the Kodikuthi Church in Thottapradessa Mission.


A harmonious quartet was sung by Very Rev. Thomas Samuel, Rev. Sam Samuel, Roy uncle Vadavathur and Olive Abraham.

Very Rev .Thomas Samuel, Rev. Jiji Joseph, Rev Abraham C Prakash, Rev. Sam Samuel, Rev. Alexander Cherian , Mr. K.P Koshy and Mr. T M Johns made felicitations.

Mr. P.V Abraham conducted some fancy games and a Bible Quiz. Prizes were given to the winners.

During the open discussion the participants actively participated and following proposals were made:
1. To Publish a News Letter (Printed or E-mail news letter)
2. To conduct the get together in mid July.

Mr. Chandy Abraham proposed the vote of thanks and Rt. Rev Micheal John concluded the meeting with a prayer and benediction at 2.30pm.

Lunch was served after the meetting.
