The Christian life does not mean that we will never experience weakness. Rather, it teaches us that our weakness need not separate us from God. His grace meets us precisely where we are.

During our Ministry among the Mentally and Physically Challenged, may we look beyond limitations and see the person whom God has created and loved. Every person has dignity, value, and a place in the family of God. Our calling is not merely to provide care, but to build a community of acceptance, friendship, participation, and belonging. A truly Christian community is one in which nobody is forgotten or left behind.

Our Youth Week gives us another important opportunity. Young people are not simply the future of the Church—they are part of the Church today. They bring energy, creativity, questions, dreams, and gifts. Let us encourage them to know Christ, discover their calling, and become responsible servants in the Church and society. Let us also remember that young people need not only our instructions but also our understanding, prayers, guidance, and example.

Reformation Day, observed on October 31, calls us to remember the continuing need for renewal. The Church must always examine itself in the light of God’s Word. Reformation is not merely an event of the past; it is an ongoing call to allow God to reform our hearts, renew our minds, and reshape our lives according to His will. As individuals and as a congregation, may we continually ask: Are we faithfully living the Gospel entrusted to us?

As we prepare to observe All Saints’ Day, we remember with gratitude those who have faithfully walked before us. Their lives are a testimony that faith can endure difficulties, sacrifice, suffering, and changing circumstances. We give thanks to God for their witness and seek to continue the journey of faith they have handed down to us.

These October observances bring one message together: God can work through ordinary people, difficult circumstances, human weakness, and willing hearts. Therefore, let us not measure our usefulness by our abilities alone. What we place in God’s hands, He can use for His glory.

May this October be a month in which we care for the vulnerable, encourage our youth, trust God in our weaknesses, seek renewal in His Word, and follow faithfully in the footsteps of those who have gone before us.

Let us move forward with confidence, remembering the promise of God: “My grace is sufficient for you.”
